Melanie Masson has released a new single “Seasons”. The track is a Northern Soul cover of “Seasons” by Future Islands. Produced by the legendary Tristan Longworth, the single boasts an all live performance.
“Seasons” allows Masson to shine with her strong, powerful vocals centre stage. Soft harmonies and a funky brass section create an ultra upbeat, feel-good song. Perfect for lockdown!
Former X-Factor hopeful turns attention to raising awareness of Nigerian schoolgirl kidnappings With an incredible voice that has seen her through to the X Factor judges’ houses on two previous series, vocalist Annastasia Baker is set to release a new single focused on raising awareness for the 200 schoolgirls recently kidnapped in Nigeria. The single, ‘Let Me Go’, sees Annastasia on powerful vocal form as she highlights an issue close to her heart.
A mother with a young daughter of her own, Annastasia cannot imagine what the families of the lost girls are going through. And without the financial means to directly impact the ongoing campaign to find them, she has turned to music as a tool to keep the situation in the public eye.
The result is this top quality, soulful pop song – due for release June 16th.
You can see the video here:
It’s not difficult to see from the track why Annastasia Baker’s voice has seen her so close to the X-Factor live finals on two occasions, and this isn’t the only time she has been successful on screen. Crowned winner of Gospel TV Show ‘Time2Shine’ last year, Annastasia is looking to build on that success and use it as a springboard for her own career, as well as continuing the fight to improve the situation in Nigeria.
‘Let Me Go’ is released June 16th – please use #BringBackOurGirls to support the campaign.

Singing contest TeenStar winner Luke Friend had a great 2013, topping his Teenstar victory by making The X Factor Final! The TeenStar winner battled his way through eight live shows and the Semi-Finals, competing against eventual winner Sam Bailey and Nicholas McDonald in The X Factor Final!
Luke Friend is now set to embark on a UK wide tour with The X Factor, which starts on February 15th in Dublin with 30 dates at prestigious venues from Wembley Arena to The O2 in London.
Reaching The X Factor Final wasn’t the first time West Country boy Luke Friend has had music competition success, after being crowned winner of TeenStar, the nationwide competition for teens and pre-teens, in July 2013.
The TeenStar singing competition’s Grand Final took place within The O2 in London and gave acts, including singing contest winner Luke Friend, the chance to play in front of a sold-out crowd and music industry judging panel.
Head of Future Music Chris Grayston remembers Luke from the TeenStar singing competition, saying “It’s great to watch Luke’s development over the years and now he’s found his own image, sound and confidence there’s nothing stopping him!”
