The New Space Finders release their instant Indie hit ‘Superheroes’

The New Space Finders have released their debut single with powers so good you’ll swear they must be ‘Superheroes’. Indie anthem is a title given to few, but greatly deserved by the Indie-electronica duo behind The New Space Finders, Sean and Jenny.

Sean and Jenny are a Plymouth based couple and  self-proclaimed kind-hearted eccentrics. Their two young children are the inspiration behind the ‘Superheroes’ track, giving the tune a pure, innocent and feel good vibe to ease all your worries.

‘Superheroes’ is the woe-lifting, feel good track we have all been desperate for, timed perfectly to cure all the stress of a Covid-19 world. Stress which duo Sean and Jenny know all too well, after a health complication left Sean close to death 16 months ago. Recovered and inspired, the non genre conforming duo now value every second spent with their children, sharing their joy through song.

With artwork featuring a Banksy piece, sanctioned by the mysterious man himself, ‘Superheroes’ is a fun filled track that takes you back to simpler times.

Get ‘Lost in the World’ of Hyson Green’s debut album.

Hyson Green have just released their much anticipated debut album. Aptly titled ‘Lost in the World’, the 10 track project really does pull you from the lockdown blues into a carefully crafted world of horns and harmonies.

‘Lost in the World’ is best described as the music we know and love, but rarely hear on radio anymore. Hyson Green have produced a perfect collection of contemporary sounds shaped on experience and the love of good music, bringing us those nostalgic vibes we’ve been longing for.

The project combines the musicianship of two brothers David and Roy Osbourne, and was devised across both sides of the pond from Nottingham and London all the way to Los Angeles. ‘Lost in the World’s’ first track ‘Clear Blue Sky’ is the perfect song to listen to on this sunny Friday afternoon.

Neo-Classical Sensation, Gavin Luke, Discusses Production of ‘In Search of Home’

Gavin Luke is a pianist and composer, whose works caused a viral explosion on social media. In 2016, he totaled over 25 million plays on Spotify, after releasing four albums and two singles. Followed by further releases in 2017 and 2018, his music has now been heard several billion times on YouTube. The writer has split his time between composing his own pieces and composing music for visual media since 2010.

In Search of Home, Gavin’s latest track, was recorded in a very particular way. His piano’s own felt, used to soften the sound, was too thick to create desired effect. So, Gavin bought his own, thinner custom felt, which was placed between the hammers and the keys to create a softer, more intimate and delicate sound. This was said to reflect “a longing or a sense of wanting to belong, to feel loved, or to feel at peace”.

J.J Leone reloads his musical prowess for new single.

Coined as a “Dark Soul” artist, J.J Leone prepares for an October release of his new single ‘Reload’.

Already selling out the legendary Ronnie Scott’s, J.J is also championing a unique style, ‘Reload’ is a sound that is both contemporary yet refreshing to the R&B and Soul genres.

‘Reload’ features melancholic vibes that are becoming more and more prominent in contemporary pop music today, following the likes of Lana Del Rey and The Weeknd. Featuring croon-styled vocals, and an electronic backing.

What differentiates J.J is the song being led by the guitar – allowing for the cross-genre compatibility between his soul driven sound and recent post noughties indie textures such as The XX.

Whilst the tune has its comparisons with other pop contemporaries and artists who have followed suit with electronics mixed with instrumentation, the track does indeed hold well on its own, and importantly suits the contemporary music climate.

The songs structure sets the dynamics and feel of the song incredibly well, a strong crescendo element to the composition; J.J spaces out his resources well and does not go in with all guns blazing – creating more of an impact, and even though the conclusive guitar solo does feel slightly out of place upon the first couple of listens, and a breakdown may have potentially been more favourable, I feel it’s an appropriate risk and concludes the song in a gripping manner.

What ‘Reload’ does splendidly is capture the growing melancholic atmosphere that some R&B and Pop artists are incorporating into their work and putting a familiar yet original spin on it, creating a more accessible & enjoyable form of the sound.

‘Reload’ is out on October the 6th and is available to pre-order now. To keep up to date with J.J Leone and his upcoming release check out his social media pages below.
