Adam Lanceley Returns with ‘Back To The Sunshine’ EP

After being involved in a horrific car crash during his childhood, Adam Lanceley was told he would not walk or talk again. However, he proved the Doctors wrong, showing unprecedented levels of grit and determination to make a full recovery and even run the London Marathon for the Brain and Spine Foundation. As well as this, Adam has forged himself a career in music, recording 5 albums and releasing the new EP, ‘Back To The Sunshine’ on 7th April.

At the time of his accident, not a lot of research had been done into the treatment of brain and spinal injuries, so Adam knows first-hand how traumatic the recovery process can be when the expertise is simply not available.

The Brain and Spine foundation was also in its formative stages when Adam sustained his injuries, but now he is donating all proceeds from sales of the EP to the charity. He says: ‘I know it is a charity well worth supporting so that the trauma is reduced for future sufferers and I am committed to trying to help as much as I can’.

With his new EP, Back To The Sunshine, Adam has been keen to experiment with new production methods and instrumentation whilst still maintaining his signature style. Whilst Adam has been compared to the likes of Lou Reed, Nick Cave and Johnny Cash, he takes inspiration from a wide range of artists including R.E.M, Roy Orbison and most significantly, The Beach Boys. As a result, Adam creates a genre-bending blend of music that evokes a definitive sunny, West Coast vibe.

On a songwriting level, a mix of factors help Adam form the ideas for his songs, but recently he has been looking to his past for inspiration. Locations from Adam’s childhood, in particular, have sparked ideas for him and he has turned these memories into introspective pieces of music that create a mystical grandeur of the power of reminiscing.

Bollywood star, Kumar Sanu, releases new Album ‘Amor’!

Now producing music for the UK music industry, Kumar Sanu is making waves with his new album ‘Amor’ out June 2nd!
image8Take a look at the latest promo video for ‘Amor’ here:
The promo video is an urban feature about his love for women. It has fast beats and crazy camera angles!
Tracks from the album include ‘Tu Ares’ which brings a Caribbean twist to the Indian pop sound and ‘Ek Masoom Ladki’ with a more deep soulful jazz beat to it, accompanied by an upbeat techno edge.  The Song ‘wo ho na ho’ is a deep soulful song, sung beautifully by Kumar Sanu in his sweet heart felt soul voice. The song ‘Ashiqui-Ashiqui’ and ‘TERE BIN’ are contemporary number.
Sanu has had previous success with an album in the UK and is now coming back for more. His father Shri Pashupati Bhattacharjee was a prominent classical singer who, after a long career, found his place in Bollywood movies – setting the tone for his son’s career to follow.
Kumar Sanu has now acquired a total of 69 awards over a glittering career including 64 in his native India (from Filmfare, Zee Cine, Kishore Kumarand more) plus 5 internationally (from Sunrise Radio-London, West Indian Academy, Grammy-West Indies, Bollywood Music-U.S.A. and Radio Lotus-South Africa).
The success and undeniable vocal talent has made him one of the highest profile names in Bollywood, an accolade which he has used to give back to willing charities.
The organisations he has helped support include ‘Tsunami Victims Support’, ‘Cancer Research donations’ and ‘school & orphanage development programmes’. Sanu certainly can’t be accused of resting on his laurels. In fact, in 2009, he was awarded the PADMA SHRI award – the 4th largest civilian award it is possible to receive only from the President of India. Also Mumbai, Holland and Zurich hospitals use one of Kumar songs in their treatment of cancer patients!

Annastasia Baker releases powerful new single ‘Let Me Go’

Former X-Factor hopeful turns attention to raising awareness of Nigerian schoolgirl kidnappings
Annastasia CoverWith an incredible voice that has seen her through to the X Factor judges’ houses on two previous series, vocalist Annastasia Baker is set to release a new single focused on raising awareness for the 200 schoolgirls recently kidnapped in Nigeria. The single, ‘Let Me Go’, sees Annastasia on powerful vocal form as she highlights an issue close to her heart.
A mother with a young daughter of her own, Annastasia cannot imagine what the families of the lost girls are going through. And without the financial means to directly impact the ongoing campaign to find them, she has turned to music as a tool to keep the situation in the public eye.
The result is this top quality, soulful pop song – due for release June 16th.
You can see the video here:

It’s not difficult to see from the track why Annastasia Baker’s voice has seen her so close to the X-Factor live finals on two occasions, and this isn’t the only time she has been successful on screen. Crowned winner of Gospel TV Show ‘Time2Shine’ last year, Annastasia is looking to build on that success and use it as a springboard for her own career, as well as continuing the fight to improve the situation in Nigeria.
‘Let Me Go’ is released June 16th – please use #BringBackOurGirls to support the campaign.

Dutch indie pop-rocker Natasha Nicholls releases debut EP

3-track download raising money for handicapped children in Asia and Africa
Hailing from a ‘tiny village in the Netherlands’, Natasha Nicholls is an exciting, self-taught musician who quite literally writes songs in her sleep. Having already gained the attraction of the national media in the Netherlands, De Telegraaf (the Dutch version of the Daily Mail) and Story Magazine (one of the biggest magazines in the Netherlands) just to name a couple have featured the young musician.
Each of the three songs from her debut EP, titled simply ‘EP’, were developed from ideas which were roughly recorded after waking up with melodies and lyrics in her head. It’s indicative of a passionately DIY approach that is also reflected in her excellent animated video, which she edited to suit her song entirely herself:
In fact, Natasha Nicholls is a self-made musician in every sense, building her own website from scratch as well as creating the artwork for the EP and setting up and taking her own artist photos. It’s a fierce approach which has won her a great online following and attracted much media attention, as aforementioned – not bad going for an artist who’s also juggling her time with her student studies.
Even more impressive, Natasha Nicholls’ charity work has raised a lot of money over the years for needy children around the world, leading to her own recently established children’s foundation that aims to help handicapped children and orphans in Asia and Africa. For each copy of the EP sold, Natasha has pledged a percentage to the cause.
